Sash windows (18th Oct 23 at 7:44am UTC)
Hi. Our house is terribly cold in the winter and I suspect it's because of my casement windows. I'm desperate. What's your advice? Can these windows be repaired or do they need to be replaced?

I understand your worries. I too had casement windows but I solved the problem by ordering secondary glazing sash windows. Contacted this company https://sashwindowrefurbish.co.uk/secondary-glazing-sash-windows/ they did an excellent job. Especially in the winter it made a big difference to the insulation of the house. I recommend to apply!

Thanks for the tip, I will definitely look into this service. Your experience and recommendation is very valuable to me. I hope the secondary glazing will help make the house warmer and cozier in the winter.
